Welcome to day 28! A big congratulations for completing the Love Yourself Challenge, and taking time for YOU this month.
We live in a society that moves a mile a minute— so it is no wonder it’s so difficult for us to press pause and relax, yet hitting the pause button is so incredibly important. Tuning out everything around you and tuning into yourself is exactly what self-care and this challenge is all about.
This week (yes that’s right, we’re taking it into March, because self care should be an every week type of thing), try to schedule out time to unwind away from distractions – ahem your phone/laptop.
Remember, rest enhances your productivity both mentally and physically. Take this week to do whatever makes you feel good, whether that is getting a massage to help your muscles destress, cook up a delicious meal, catch up on some of your favourite shows, or pamper yourself with a few minutes of beauty. Repeat after us, self–care is not an indulgence, it is a necessity.
We hope you enjoyed this challenge, let us know how you did, what you liked, what was challenging, we’d love to hear all about it.
Now let’s go finish up this challenge by sweating it out!
Hi Marg! We are so glad these have been useful. Yes we definitely agree, we’d love to hear from everyone who is participating in the challenge, and hear your thoughts, hardships, wins or anything that pops into your mind. What would encourage you all to engage more during the next challenge? Do you have any suggestions on what would motivate more interaction? We’d love to hear to make sure we are providing the motivation and space for our community to support each other!
I so benefit from all the wise suggestions you have given for self care in all factions of life. Thank you so much for both challenges.
However I must admit I’m missing what I hoped would be community interaction beyond the Tuesday live zumba class. I’d love to hear any tips or how others feel about the challenges. Like repetitive exercise, it’s great to have the reminders when we get caught up in some of world issues. All the best. Marg
